STORAGE:
Three years in original unopened container. Protect from freezing. Material will freeze at 32°F (0°C). If frozen, thaw at 40°F to 80°F (4°C to 27°C). Use when melted to a smooth, homogeneous condition. Storage temperature should not exceed 100°F (38°C).
APPLICATION
Substrates must be dry and free of dirt, mildew, and algae. Previously coated, fully adhered substrates should be cleaned with GacoWash, then rinsed and allowed to dry.
If a texture coat is preferred, stir slowly and add ¾ pound (12 oz) of GacoGrip granules to 0.88 gallons of GacoShield to yield 1 gallon of coating and granule mixture (or 3.75 pounds of GacoGrip to 4.4 gallons of GacoShield to yield 5 gallons of coating and granule mixture). Apply by roller or brush at a rate of one gallon of mixture per 100 square feet (3.78 L / 9.3 m²).
When coating deck railings, apply GacoShield without GacoGrip granules. When GacoShield is applied to stairs, GacoGrip is recommended.
Clean up equipment using water mixed with liquid detergent.
GacoShield products are water based acrylic coatings and require the complete evaporation of water to achieve full physical properties. DO NOT apply to surfaces that are, or will be lower than, 50°F (10°C) within 6 hours.
